Bike riding with your dog – Walky Dog test

We were using a canicross sytem to bike ride with Lily, but that was not the best solution as Lily had difficulties to stay on the same side of the bike. We have tested the product : Walky Dog sold by Wanimo for France or by thedogoutdoors for the US.
Very good results, Lily couldn’t change side on the bike! Furthemore, this product is really easy to mount on the bike.

Bike riding with your dog in Lyon

A very nice activity to do with your dog: Bike riding! Lily loves it!
It is better to take you time at the beginning and start with small rides in quite places (in Lyon: Greenway of Caluire, Miribel Park…).
Concerning the equipments, it is recommended to have your dog in harness. You can attached the dog to your bike with a special equipement: for exemple the walkydog . It is also good to have a small trailer if your dog is tired or if it get injured during the ride.
Notes:
- Ask your veterinary to find out at what age your dog may start the bike with you.
